The interdisciplinary concept of the Institute for Transport Studies (IfV) aims at an efficient and sustainable organization of traffic.

Assessment and analysis of all determinants of travel behavior, empirical research leading to short, medium and long term forecasts as well as traffic planing and the elaboration of transport concepts on the basis of these findings are some of the key areas of activity at the IfV.

The Institute for Transport Studies looks back on many years of successful cooperation with public planning and research organizations as well as private investors on the field of planning and scientific evaluation.

The Institute for Transport Studies belongs to the Division IV – Natural and Built Environment of KIT.
